Every Gymdesk cell was read on gymdesk.com, gymdesk.com/pricing, gymdesk.com/features/member-app and gymdesk.com/features/payment-processors on 9 October 2026. Their prices are in US dollars and monthly; ours are shown in dollars and in baht from our own grid. We have not used their product. Where their pages say nothing, we write that we did not find it, not that they do not do it. Prices change: check each pricing page again before you decide.

Where Gymdesk is stronger

What Gymdesk does better, and who should look at it first

Rank tracking is the clearest one. Gymdesk's page describes rules per program that read classes attended, hours, skills or age, then flag who is ready for the next belt. We record grades per discipline with a promotion history, and a coach decides. We have not measured whether that is as deep as theirs, and for a school that grades dozens of students every month, their automation may save real time.

Gymdesk also names more payment processors for Western markets: Square, Authorize.net, GoCardless direct debit and Gymdesk Payments in the US and Canada. If your members pay in dollars or by direct debit, that list is wider than ours.

Their pricing is simple to read: one table by active members, a 30-day trial with no card, and unlimited staff accounts from the first tier. Those are strengths of a tool that has focused on one kind of school.

By school size

How the two price lists compare as the school grows

Up to 20 active members we are free with no time limit, while Gymdesk's smallest tier is $75 a month with a 30-day trial first.

From 21 to 50 members, Gymdesk's Micro Gym at $75 is below our Pro at $99. If all you need is a schedule, attendance and belts for a small school, that is the lower bill, and we say so before anything else.

From 51 to 200 members, Gymdesk moves through Small, Medium and Large, from $100 to $240 depending on size and whether you use their payments. Our Pro stays at $99 across that whole range, and Max at $199 has no member cap, where Gymdesk above 250 members is a custom quote.

The two lists are not like for like. Gymdesk charges more for a second location and for a branded app, and the features in a tier are not the same on both sides. Open both pricing pages and compare them against what your school uses every day.

How to choose

Pick the one that matches where your school is and how it is paid

Choose MoveMembers if your members pay by PromptPay or in baht, if you want messages to leave from your own LINE Official Account from the free plan up, if your coaches and members read Thai, or if you want to start at zero under 20 active members.

Choose Gymdesk if you run a martial arts school in the US or Canada, if automatic promotion rules matter more to you than LINE or baht, or if you want a branded app in the stores and are happy to pay for the add-on.

What MoveMembers does not have: no native app in the App Store or Google Play, no personal QR card per member, and no automatic importer from another vendor. Moving is done from a file of members.

Questions owners ask

What is the biggest difference between Gymdesk and MoveMembers?

Market and focus. Gymdesk is aimed at martial arts schools and priced in US dollars, with Gymdesk Payments in the US and Canada. MoveMembers is built for gyms in Thailand and Southeast Asia, with LINE, PromptPay and a Thai interface from the free plan, and it also handles belts per discipline.

Is Gymdesk better than MoveMembers for a martial arts school?

For rank automation, their page describes more. It sets qualifying rules by classes, hours, attendance, skills or age and flags who is ready to promote. We record grades and promotions per discipline, and the coach decides. If automatic promotion rules are your first need, look at Gymdesk first.

Does Gymdesk support PromptPay or LINE?

We cannot answer for them. We read their home, pricing, member app and payment processors pages on 9 October 2026 and found no mention of PromptPay, LINE or Thailand, which does not mean they are not available. Ask them directly before you decide.

How reliable are the Gymdesk figures on this page?

They were read from Gymdesk's public pages on 9 October 2026 and written as the pages state them. Prices can change at any time, which is why the table carries its date. If a figure no longer matches their site, tell us and we will correct it.

Can I move from Gymdesk to MoveMembers?

By hand. There is no automatic importer from another vendor. You export your members and plans, then import the member list from a CSV file. Attendance history and past payments do not come across on their own, so run the free plan alongside for a few weeks first.
