Will this work for a gym or studio in Indonesia?
Yes when your team is comfortable in English, members settle up through QRIS, an e-wallet or a bank transfer, and you want each payment attached to a person instead of buried in a chat. No when staff need every screen in Bahasa Indonesia, because the software has no Indonesian interface yet.
Software that assumes plastic
Most gym tools are written around a card on file. Where people pay by scan and transfer, the cracks show.
The receipt is a screenshot somewhere in WhatsApp
An e-wallet or bank app confirms the payment, the member forwards the image, and someone must dig through the thread to see which booking it clears.
Places that wait for nobody
Keeping a spot until the money lands is a manual job, so spots are either released early or held for people who never settle.
Tiers sized for other economies
Plans written for American or European gyms can outprice a single studio in Jakarta, Surabaya or Bali.
Several branches, one spreadsheet each
Every location keeps its own list, and nobody can say how many members were active this month.
Unpaid months written in pencil
A member who skips two months in a row disappears without anyone seeing it.
What changes with MoveMembers
The QRIS you already display, a seat that waits for confirmation, and one place that remembers who paid.
Your QRIS as a payment method
Upload your business QRIS once. The counter screen shows it with the amount alongside, the member pays from a wallet or bank app and answers with the reference, and you confirm. Confirmation stays with you; MoveMembers takes no fee and never holds the money.
Bookings that can stay pending
Enable one option and a booking sits in a pending state, taking nobody's seat, until you confirm payment. Studios that never enable it notice no change.
Messages that go out unaided
Booking confirmations, class reminders, payment receipts and renewal warnings leave on their own. You choose the channel for each.
How payments really arrive
A QRIS sticker at the till, a transfer from a bank app, cash, and now and then a card. All of it ends up on one profile.
The amount printed beside the QRIS
A static QRIS holds no figure, so the screen writes the amount in big type next to the code. The member scans, keys in that sum, and sends the reference back.
No auto-matching, and that is stated
MoveMembers has no view into your bank or wallet, so it cannot clear payments automatically. You mark one as received when its reference lines up: one tap instead of scrolling a chat.
Transfers and e-wallets, listed apart
A bank transfer and a wallet payment are separate entries with their own names, so the receipt shows what was actually used. These are QR codes and labels you create, not built-in connections.
Cash and card on the same record
A walk-in paying cash gets a profile and a payment in a few taps. Cards run through a Stripe account of your own where your business can open one, and the software works without it.
Members pay you directly and MoveMembers keeps no share of it, whatever the method.
Receipts in rupiah, issued by your studio
A transfer without paperwork is the one a member questions three months on.
- Choose a receipt prefix and a footer note once, under Settings, Finance, and later receipts carry them.
- Every receipt is numbered and dated, names the member and the method, shows the period covered and the sum paid.
- The currency symbol is your choice: type Rp, decide whether it goes before or after the amount, and receipts follow.
- They are emailed as PDF files.
These documents prove a payment to your studio. They are not tax invoices, and MoveMembers does not issue those. If your business has to, keep using the tool you have for that.
An English interface, and what that means in practice
Plainly: the screens are not in Bahasa Indonesia. Here is who that suits, and who it does not.
- The software offers 15 interface languages, English among them. Bahasa Indonesia is not one of them today.
- It suits teams that already work in English: studios with foreign coaches, expat members or classes aimed at visitors.
- It does not suit a front desk that needs every screen in Bahasa Indonesia. Better to learn that now than after signing up.
- New phone numbers begin with +62, and the studio clock runs on Asia/Jakarta unless you pick another time zone.
Email on all plans, WhatsApp on Max
Members here reach studios on WhatsApp. This is exactly what the software sends, and where.
- Reminders and receipts are emailed on every plan.
- Max adds WhatsApp Business and SMS, sent from accounts you control.
- Instagram direct messages and Telegram are not connected.
- If members only answer there, keep using those apps next to the software for now.
Personal data, and the share no tool can carry
Your studio holds names, phone numbers, photos, birthdates, payment history and signed waivers. Indonesia has a personal data protection law, and it applies to what a studio gathers about members.
- Export your data whenever you like.
- Erase a profile permanently, after a grace period you set, for the day the wrong person is removed.
- Read the history of who edited what and when, so a changed balance has an author.
- Assign owner, admin, coach or front desk roles, applied by the server and not just by hiding buttons.
- Lock the counter tablet behind personal PINs, and add two-factor sign-in on the owner account.
- It will not write your privacy notice.
- It will not decide what you may keep or for how long. Put that question to an adviser.
- It will not make your studio compliant; the studio stays responsible for its data.

What a studio here tends to need
No module to add later, no per-feature upsell.
- Your own QRIS, e-wallet and bank transfer entries, each named separately
- Seats held back until payment is confirmed, when you want that
- Bookings with capacity limits and waitlists
- Memberships, class packs, credits and drop-in passes
- Online card payments via your own Stripe account where it is offered
- Numbered, dated receipts with the currency symbol you pick
- A browser-based member page with nothing to install
- Check-in from a front desk tablet
- Member import from a CSV file
- Reminders and receipts sent by email automatically
- Exports, recoverable deletion and a log of changes
- A public booking page that search engines can index
Also documented on their own: payments and billing, scheduling and bookings and the member page.
Cases where another product wins
A page that wins every comparison is not telling the truth. These are the situations to look elsewhere.
Your team and members need Bahasa Indonesia on every screen. The interface does not offer it today.
You need tax invoices from the same system. Keep your invoicing tool, and let MoveMembers handle bookings, memberships and payments.
You run a chain across borders and depend on a big vendor's ecosystem. A switch costs time and only pays when the gain is plain.
What MoveMembers does not cover:
A Bahasa Indonesia interface.
Automatic confirmation of QRIS or bank transfers; you mark them received.
Tax invoices.
Entry hardware such as gates or face scanners.
A member app to install; the member page opens in a browser and can go on the home screen.
Make the switch, or not
Choose MoveMembers if
Your team works in English, members pay by QRIS or transfer, and you run one or two locations. You want each payment on the member's record and a seat that waits for the money.
Stay where you are when
Your desk needs Bahasa Indonesia throughout, or the same system has to produce tax invoices. Changing software costs time and is worthwhile only for a clear gain.
What studios here pay
MoveMembers bills in baht, on the Southeast Asia price shared with Thailand. What your members pay you is in rupiah and has no connection to our invoice.
No charge up to 20 active members. Beyond that, Pro costs 2,490 THB a month for up to 200 members and Max costs 4,990 THB without a cap. Yearly billing gives two months free.
Prices shown in THB.
Test it beside your current setup
Import members from a CSV, run one class in MoveMembers, and see whether the QRIS routine saves your counter time. Nothing needs switching off, no card is requested, and the free plan stays free.

Questions from studios in Indonesia.
Does it support QRIS?
As a payment method that you set up, yes. You upload your business QRIS and name it; the amount appears beside it, the member sends back the reference, and you confirm. It is not an integration, so MoveMembers never checks your account, but confirming takes one tap rather than a search.
And GoPay, OVO, DANA or plain transfers?
Each is its own named entry on the same pattern. Upload the QR or write the account details, the member pays and sends a reference, and you confirm it.
Is there a Bahasa Indonesia interface?
Not at present. The software runs in English and several other languages, and each person chooses theirs. If your desk needs Bahasa Indonesia on every screen, this is not the right tool yet.
Can I make members pay before they attend?
Yes: a studio can keep the booking pending until payment is confirmed instead of confirming it immediately. It is one switch, and studios that ignore it see no change.
In which currency does MoveMembers charge?
Thai baht, on the Southeast Asia price: Free, 2,490 THB a month for Pro and 4,990 THB for Max. Members pay you in rupiah, and you choose the symbol shown on receipts.
Can I reach members on WhatsApp?
On Max, yes: add WhatsApp Business and SMS through your own accounts. Reminders and receipts are emailed on every plan.
Do receipts count as tax invoices?
No. They show a payment made to your studio, with number, date, member, method and amount. A business that must issue tax invoices should keep its existing tool.
Does it comply with Indonesian data protection law?
Software cannot answer that on a studio's behalf. Your studio is accountable for the personal data it holds. MoveMembers gives you export, deletion and a history of changes; what your case needs is your call.
Do members have to install something?
No. The member page opens in the browser and can be pinned to the home screen.
Where do I see what each plan includes?
The pricing page shows what Free, Pro and Max include, with the member and site limits of each. The free plan covers a studio with up to 20 active members.
