Does this suit a gym or studio in Myanmar?

It does if members pay by wallet QR or bank transfer, if you want staff and members reading Burmese, and if each payment should sit on a profile. It does not if messages must go out on Viber or Messenger, or if you cannot pay a subscription in baht.

Software drawn up for other countries

Gym software tends to be designed for clubs in the US or Europe, and in Yangon or Mandalay several mismatches stand out.

  • A photo stands in for the receipt

Payment happens inside a wallet app, a screenshot travels through chat, and staff must pair that image with a booking later.

  • Reception reads an interface that is not theirs

Front desk staff and coaches keep guessing their way through English-only screens, from opening time to closing.

  • Spots promised, money not sent

When payment is promised for later, a spot is either released too soon or stays blocked for someone who never follows through.

  • Price lists from richer countries

Tiers designed for Western gyms can be more than a single Yangon studio can justify.

  • Lapsed members slip away

If nobody keeps a list, a member who stops paying simply disappears from view.

What changes with MoveMembers

The wallet QR your members use today, Burmese screens, and bookings that can wait for the money.

Your KBZPay or Wave QR, listed as a payment method

Add your own QR once, labelled the way members know it. Reception displays it with the amount alongside, the member pays and sends back the reference, and you confirm. Nothing is automatic here: MoveMembers takes no fee and never holds the funds.

Burmese where people actually read

Staff screens, the member page and the booking page can be switched to Burmese, one language choice per person.

Bookings that wait

With one option enabled, a booking remains pending until payment is confirmed. Studios that leave it off see nothing change.

Where a studio's money comes from here

Cash over the counter, wallet QR scans, bank transfers: each one becomes an entry on the same member profile.

The amount printed next to the QR

Many QR codes, personal or business, carry no amount. The screen therefore shows one in large type beside the code, and the member pays from the wallet app and returns the reference.

You confirm, and we say so

MoveMembers has no access to your wallet or bank account and cannot match payments by itself. Reception taps once when the reference looks right, rather than comparing a screenshot with a name recalled from memory.

One label per wallet

KBZPay, Wave and bank transfer each get a separate entry and name, so the receipt records the method actually used. They are QR codes and names you maintain, not built-in connections.

Cash goes in too

A walk-in who pays cash gets a profile and a payment in a few taps, alongside the wallet payers.

Whatever members use to pay, MoveMembers takes no percentage of it.

Kyat receipts from your own studio

Without proof, a transfer turns into an argument weeks later.

  • Set a receipt prefix and footer note once in Settings, Finance; later receipts display both.
  • Each receipt shows its number and date, the member, the method, the period covered and the sum paid.
  • The currency symbol is up to you: type Ks, or whatever your studio uses, and amounts follow it.
  • Receipts travel by email as PDF files.

These are proofs of payment to your studio, not tax invoices, and MoveMembers does not produce tax invoices. If your business has to, use the tool you already have.

Burmese where your team reads

The owner may manage in English, while whoever opens up at dawn often prefers Burmese.

  • Among the 15 interface languages are Burmese and English, and every person selects their own.
  • A member's page, receipts and messages appear in their own language and not the studio's.
  • The help manual remains English only.
  • Phone numbers start with +95 by default, and the studio clock uses Asia/Yangon unless you set a different time zone.

Email today, not Viber or Messenger

A lot of conversation with studios happens on Viber or Messenger, so it is better you learn the limits before signing up.

  • Neither Viber nor Messenger is connected, so MoveMembers cannot send through them.
  • Every plan emails reminders and receipts.
  • On Max, WhatsApp Business and SMS can be added from your own accounts.
  • If Viber is your only line to members, keep it beside the software for the time being.

Personal data, and the part software cannot take over

Your studio keeps names, phone numbers, photos, birthdates, payment history and signed waivers. Whatever rules apply in Myanmar, step one is knowing exactly what you hold.

  • Export your data yourself, at any time, without going through support.
  • Remove a profile permanently after a recovery period you decide, in case of a wrong deletion.
  • Read the edit history to see who changed a balance, and when.
  • Give people owner, admin, coach or reception roles, enforced by the server rather than hidden buttons.
  • Put personal PINs on the reception tablet and a second sign-in factor on the owner account.
What the software will not do for you:
  • It does not compose your privacy notice.
  • It does not determine what you may keep or for how long; consult an adviser.
  • It does not make a studio compliant; the studio remains responsible for its data.

Software is described here, not legal advice. We are not lawyers, and your obligations depend on what you collect and do.

What a studio here usually needs

No module to add later, no per-feature upsell.

  • KBZPay, Wave and bank transfer entries you name yourself
  • Burmese screens, including the member page
  • Optional pending bookings until payment is confirmed
  • Capacity-limited bookings with waitlists
  • Memberships, class packs, credits and single visits
  • Receipts numbered and dated, with your own currency symbol
  • A member page in the browser, with no installation
  • Check-in on a reception tablet
  • Member list import from a CSV file
  • Automatic emails for reminders and receipts
  • Exports, recoverable deletion and a change log
  • A public booking page that search engines can index

Also documented on their own: payments and billing, scheduling and bookings and the member page.

Where another tool would serve you better

No product wins everywhere, and a page that says otherwise is not worth trusting. These are the cases for looking elsewhere.

  • Your members are reachable mainly on Viber and you need the software to write there. It does not, and we will not pretend otherwise.

  • A subscription cannot be paid in baht from where you are. The free plan needs no card and can be used fully first; any paid plan does need one.

  • Tax invoices must come from the same system. Keep your invoicing tool and use MoveMembers for bookings, memberships and payments.

What MoveMembers leaves out:

  • Messaging through Viber or Messenger.

  • Automatic confirmation of wallet or bank transfers; reception confirms them.

  • Tax invoices.

  • Entry hardware: no gates, no face scanners.

  • A downloadable member app; the member page runs in a browser and can be added to the home screen.

Switch, or keep what you have

Choose MoveMembers if

Members pay by wallet QR or transfer, reception prefers Burmese, and you run one or two sites. You want every payment on a profile and a booking that waits for the money.

Stay where you are if

Your members live on Viber and the software must write there, or you cannot pay a subscription in baht. A switch takes effort and should wait for a clear gain.

What this costs a studio in Myanmar

You pay MoveMembers in baht, on the Southeast Asia price used in Thailand. What members pay you is in kyat and separate from our invoice.

฿4,990/moMax · Unlimited members

Run a class and compare

Import your members from a CSV, hold a class in MoveMembers, and see whether the QR routine saves reception time. Nothing has to be shut down, no card is asked for, and the free plan remains free.

Questions from studios in Myanmar.

Can I use KBZPay and Wave?

Yes, as payment methods you set up. Upload your QR, give it a name, and the amount appears beside it; the member returns the reference and you confirm. It is not an integration, so MoveMembers cannot see your wallet or bank, but confirming is one tap instead of a hunt.

Does it come in Burmese?

Yes, alongside English and other languages. Staff screens, the member page, the booking page and automatic member messages can use Burmese, and each person sets their own language. The help manual remains English.

Can a booking wait for payment?

Yes: a studio can keep a booking pending until payment is confirmed rather than confirming immediately. A single setting controls it, and studios that leave it alone work as before.

What currency do you charge in?

Thai baht, on the Southeast Asia price: Free, 2,490 THB a month for Pro, 4,990 THB for Max. Members pay you in whatever currency you set, which is a separate matter.

Can I pay for a plan from Myanmar?

Paid plans are billed in baht by card. Cards issued in Myanmar are often declined by international payment networks, which we cannot change. The free plan needs no card, so you can use it fully before deciding.

Will members get messages on Viber?

Not currently. Email carries reminders and receipts on every plan. Max can add WhatsApp Business and SMS from accounts you own.

Are the receipts tax invoices?

No. Each one proves a payment to your studio, showing number, date, member, method and amount. If your business must issue tax invoices, keep your existing tool for them.

Must members install something?

No. The member page runs in the browser and can be added to the home screen.

How can I test it safely?

Import a CSV, set up your QR, run a single class and compare it with your usual routine. Nothing has to be turned off first.

The wallet QR scans your members already make can land on a profile.
