A free online booking system that members can use without an app
Most free booking tools are a calendar with a form attached. This one counts seats, keeps a waitlist, takes a credit off a pack and lets a first-timer hold a place before they have an account. This page lists what the free plan does for booking, and where you would need a paid plan instead.
- Free forever
- No credit card
- No sales call
In short: MoveMembers is booking, membership and payment software for gyms, studios and camps in Thailand. It is free up to 20 active members, then Pro costs 2,490 baht a month and Max 4,990 baht. It connects to your own LINE Official Account, records PromptPay payments and runs in 15 languages.
- 10countries, Thailand first
- 15languages, including Thai
- 0%commission on what you collect
Booking is not one of the things held back
Online booking sits in the base of the product, so it is available from the first day and does not depend on which plan you are on. A schedule with seats, the member area, the waitlist and the cut-off rules are all there at the free level.
- A timetable of classes, each with its own number of places
- A member area where people book, cancel and see what they have left on a pack
- A waitlist that moves the next person up by itself when a seat opens
- A booking window, a cancellation cut-off and a no-show rule that you set
- A grid for one-to-one appointments, with one column per person or machine
- Online card payments through your own Stripe account, with no commission taken
Three ways in, depending on who is booking
The third way is the one that turns a stranger into a lead. You do not ask a newcomer to create an account to try one class, and you do not retype their details afterwards: the desk sells them a pack under the same name.
From the member area
A regular opens your link in their browser, picks a class and is done. Nothing to download, and it can sit on the home screen like an app.
From a LINE chat
You send the same link into the conversation. It opens inside LINE's own browser, so the person never leaves the chat they were already in.
From a public link, with no account
Open a trial session that anyone can reach. The visitor picks it, leaves a name and a way to contact them, and holds a place. Their name shows on the session list at once.
A free tool should still let you say no
Free booking tools often accept everything, and the owner ends up refereeing. Here the rules are yours and they are applied the same way to everybody, so there is nothing to negotiate at the desk.
- How many days ahead booking opens
- How many hours before class a member can still cancel and keep the credit
- A fee, if you want one, for people who book and do not come
- A gap between two back-to-back classes
- A different number of places on one date without touching the weekly class
Where the free plan stops
Everything above works up to 20 active members. After that, adding members, sending messages and taking payments stop until you move to a paid plan; the timetable, check-in and exporting your data keep working.
Messages you write yourself as templates, messages to many people at once and automations are part of Pro. WhatsApp and SMS are part of Max, and they only send. The built-in confirmations, reminders and receipts are free and go out through LINE or email.
What it does not do
- No app in the phone stores, so no phone push notifications. Reminders arrive on LINE or by email
- Booking in LINE starts from a link. There is no booking screen built into LINE itself
- Nobody is charged on a schedule unless the member chose to pay in instalments or set up auto-pay
Questions owners ask
Is online booking really free, or only a trial?
It is free with no end date and asks for no card. The only cap is 20 active members. Past it, nothing is deleted: adding members, sending messages and taking payments pause until you upgrade, while the timetable and check-in carry on.
Do people need an account to book?
Regulars use the member area. A first-timer can hold a place in a trial session from a public link by leaving a name and a way to reach them, with no account. The desk can then sell them a pack under the same name.
Can I use it for one-to-one appointments as well as classes?
Yes. Classes use seats and a waitlist, and appointments use a grid with one column for each person or machine, so two bookings cannot land on the same one at the same time.
What happens when a class is full?
The next person joins a waitlist instead of overbooking the room. When someone cancels, the first in line moves up by itself and is told straight away.
Can members pay when they book?
Yes, through your own Stripe account, so the money goes to you and MoveMembers takes no commission. A pack credit can also be taken off at booking and returned if the member cancels in time.
Does it work in Thai?
Yes. Each person picks their own language, so your team can work in Thai while a member reads the booking page in English.
