How do I put my own brand on the member space and the emails?

Settings & data · 6 min read

The short answer

Your logo, your colours and your fonts on everything your members see, plus the switch that removes every mention of the software. And what it does not change: the domain and the sending address.

Settings › Brand

Steps

  1. 1
    Open Settings › Brand.
  2. 2
Turn on Remove every mention of the software.
  3. 3
Fill in your display name, your footer line and your sender name.
  4. 4
Check the preview on the right, in light and in dark.
  5. 5
Click Save. Nothing reaches your members before that.

Good to know

What the brand kit covers#

Path: Settings › Brand.

One kit decides everything your members and your prospects see: their member space, the sign-in page, your emails, your receipts and PDFs, the image that shows up when your link is shared on LINE or WhatsApp, and the icon they get when they install your space on their phone.

You fill in three colours, two fonts, a corner style, two logos and a cover photo. Everything else is derived from them: surfaces, hairlines, text colours, and the same series again for the dark theme. That is what makes it safe. You are not rewriting pages, you are filling a palette, and every screen follows.

Start with one of the six moods. It fills the three colours in one click, and you change them after.

Colours, and the contrast check#

You pick three: the main colour (buttons, selection, member card), the background (white, paper, tinted or dark), and an optional accent (calendar dots, highlighted numbers). Leave the accent empty and it is derived from your main colour.

Under each colour, a line tells you which ink it carries and by how much: Text on accent: ink 5.5:1. That is a measurement, not an opinion. Below 4.5:1 the line turns orange and offers the same colour, corrected: you keep your hue, and you get a readable one.

The status colours of the software (booked, full, cancelled, late) are never replaced by your brand. A member has to be able to read cancelled as cancelled, whatever your palette says.

A very dark main colour is lifted on the dark theme, otherwise it would disappear on a dark background. You do not have to do anything: the kit handles it, and the preview shows it.

Logos, cover photo and app icon#

The logo you already uploaded in Settings › General is used as your light logo. The dark one is proposed from it by inverting the ink, and you can replace it with your own file. PNG or SVG, transparent background recommended, at least 400 px wide.

The app icon is generated from your logo on your background colour, in the four sizes a phone needs. It is regenerated whenever your logo or your background changes, and it gets a new file name each time, otherwise phones that already installed your space would keep the old one forever.

The cover photo is optional, 1600 x 900 recommended. It is used on the sign-in page and on the Photo share card.

A very wide logo (a banner five times wider than tall) is accepted, but it is capped at 160 px wide in the header, which drops it under 20 px tall. The module says so when it happens. For the app icon, a banner is cropped to its tallest and shortest part, because a banner inside a square gives an icon that reads as blank on a home screen.
The share card, and why it takes a while to update

Path: Settings › Brand › Share card.

Three compositions: Signature (your logo on your background), Photo (your cover under a veil) and Colour (your light logo on your main colour). You add one short sentence and, if you want, the word written on the drawn button.

LINE, WhatsApp and Facebook keep the preview of an address in their cache for days. Every save gives the image a new file name, which is what makes them fetch it again. A link you already shared in an old message keeps its old picture; the next share shows the new one.

The card is read in a conversation, around 300 px wide, and LINE crops it to a square. Anything long is unreadable there. Keep the sentence to a few words, and look at it in the preview before saving.
If you leave the Max plan

Nothing is erased. Your kit is kept exactly as you set it, and the module says so. What changes is what your members see: the software applies the default values again until you are back on Max.

Troubleshooting

What it does not cover

The domain does not change. Your member space stays at movemembers.com/member/g/your-studio, and the grey line under the share card in a LINE conversation keeps showing that address. There is nothing to configure, and no DNS to set up.

The sending address does not change either. Your emails keep leaving from our verified domain, which is what protects their delivery. What changes is the name your members read in their inbox, the reply address, and everything inside the message.

The software you use to run your studio keeps our name. White label is about what your MEMBERS see, not about your own screens.

Gmail sometimes adds « via movemembers.com » next to the sender name, on its own, when it sees that the display name and the domain differ. That line comes from Gmail, not from us, and no setting removes it. The only thing that would is a sending domain of your own, which is not what this feature does.
