The Sell a membership tile of the Till adds a plan to the ticket, next to any product. Paying creates the membership and its payment in one go, and the tab leaves the amount due.

Steps
- Open the Till and press Sell a membership.
- Attach the member if no one is attached yet.
- Pick the plan in the list. A plan with a price goes on the ticket at once. A plan marked Set price asks you to type the amount first, then press Add.
- Add products if you like, then press Charge.
What the plan list shows#
Each row gives the name of the plan, what it will cost, and a line that says what is sold: Until a date, Starts on first session or No end date, then the number of classes for a pack, and the disciplines the plan pays for when it is limited to some.
The plans of the member's group come first, then the plans open to everybody, then the rest, in a quieter ink and with a note naming the group the plan is meant for. Nothing is refused: the person at the counter decides. A plan whose last day of sale has passed reads Sale ended and cannot be added.
A plan with a loyalty price for this member goes on the ticket with the percentage taken off, on its own line, worded as a loyalty price. The same gesture as for any discount removes it.
Renewing and the end date#
When the member already has a plan, the list opens with a line saying how it stands: the plan runs until a date and the new one is added on top, or the plan has ended.
A plan that still has days left is not restarted: the new period is added after the days that remain. A member whose current month still has ten days left leaves with those ten days plus the new period. A plan that starts on the first session gets no end date until it is used.
What paying does#
Press Charge and pay as for any sale: one tile per payment method, cash with the change due, and the option to split the payment. The Gift card tile is not offered when the ticket holds a plan.
Recording the sale does two things for a plan. It adds the membership at its list price, and the discount is stored next to it, so you can read later both what was sold and what was collected. Then it records a payment against that membership, with the note Till and the name of the plan. The membership shows as paid for what was collected.
The On the tab tile creates the membership and records no payment. The plan exists with its balance due, and the member shows Unpaid until you record a payment, exactly as when you add a plan from their profile.
Selling a plan with account credit, or from a phone
The Till does not offer account credit. To spend it, sell the plan from the member's profile, where Use account credit appears when the member has a balance.
On a phone, the front desk sells from a member's sheet: Sell a membership, Renew membership or Extend. The sheet takes the Product, the Price, the Sessions (credits) and the Valid until date, with a Discount and its reason, then the payment opens right after with the amount to collect.
